Member wins Sydney pottery award

Local potter and long-term member of Tamborine Mountain Arts Collective recently won the Winner of Nonsense Verse category at the 2022 Sydney Teapot Show.

Nicci Parry-Jones, founder of PJ Pottery, recently achieved a long-held goal of winning an award 

Her wonderful Steampunk Jabberwocky teapot titled: As in Uffish Thought He Stood… was awarded a $500 prize, and the judge loved it so much, he bought it.

Nicci Parry-Jones is a full-time professional potter living on Tamborine Mountain, combining creating with teaching. Her Australian-made teapots are totally unique, each item individually crafted. 

Pottery Road

Nicci is part of Pottery Road, Open Studio event on Saturday & Sunday 12th & 13th of November. Pottery Road Open Studio includes five local Tamborine Mountain and valley potters:  Larissa Warren Ratbag Studios,  Nicci Parry-Jones PJ Pottery; Julia Bramich Ceramics; Jo Mackenzie Ceramics and Claudia De Salvo.
