  » Fabric & Fibre Arts

As a textile and mixed media artist, Lisa immerses herself in the tactile and versatile world of fibre arts, where every material tells a story.

Lisa’s journey is one of exploration and experimentation, guided by a passion for sustainability.

In her practice, she celebrates the beauty of imperfection and the harmony of disparate elements coming together. She finds joy in repurposing reclaimed fabrics and incorporating natural elements from the garden into my baskets, weaving threads of environmental consciousness into each piece. Through weaving, felting, slow stitching and eco-dyeing, Lisa aims to evoke a sense of tranquility and connection to the natural world, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and find solace in the intricate tapestry of life.

Moreover, through workshops encompassing basket coiling, raffia weaving, and wet felting, Lisa extends an invitation for participants to immerse themselves in the serene practice of slower arts.

Her classes provide a sanctuary for mindfulness and tranquility, enabling individuals to infuse their newfound skills with a sense of calm and introspection.
