  » The Artist Tree

Michelle lives at Tamborine in the Gold Coast  hinterland with her partner Mick and their cattledog Cobba.

She divides her time between painting in her studio, painting murals and corporate & group  creative  activities, workshops & classes.

Michelle is best known for her large colourful pieces, but also enjoys working with a monochromatic palette.  Her intuitive style is uninhibited by rules and boundaries.  Michelle sells her art both locally and around the world.  Two of this series recently returned from an exhibition in Taiwan.

Michelle current exhibition is a combination of paintings and sculptures inspired by the  constellation “Pleiades—The Seven Sisters” each  artwork depicts a representation of the cluster of stars.  Two of this series recently returned from an exhibition in Taiwan.

Ancient cultures around the world tell a similar story about the Seven Sisters, and it is believed that the stories go back 60,000 years. The paintings in the series are named for each of the sisters and the Greek Legend that gives the  constellation it’s name.

Tmac acknowledge the traditional custodians of the lands we operate on, the Wanggerriburras people and pay my respects to elders past, present and emerging.
