Under the Greenwood Tree

Under the Greenwood Tree is a small independent bookshop and contemporary art gallery exhibiting quality Contemporary Art by local & Australian artists and an eclectic range of new books.

Under the Greenwood Tree is a haven for discerning art and book lovers.

An extensive range of art is always on view within the bookshop and the dedicated small gallery holds new solo exhibitions every six weeks, providing a venue for a range of artists to display and share their work in intimate surroundings.

For the Arts Trail weekends, local Tamborine Mountain artists Sam Suttie and Monique Quarantini will showcase their work in the gallery.

Sam has been a finalist in multiple art awards throughout Australia, including The Lethbridge Landscape Prize and Doyles Art Prize and her work exhibited in galleries throughout Qld, NSW and Victoria. Sam uses the framework of still life painting to tell her stories – her work is often populated by birds and botanical images.

Monique Quarantini is a master potter with over 25 years experience . She uses the surface of her fine white porcelain as canvas to capture imagery of local birds, the landscape and even poetry. Monique’s passion for life drawing is also captured on her paintings and prints. Intuitive & lyrical, Monique’s works are captivating.
